Description:

This training series prepares families for placement and connects them with other waiting families.  Boys & Girls Aid is offering weekend pre-adoption trainings for families that need to fulfill state requirements for private independent adoption in Oregon.

Topics to be covered include:

•   process and what to expect
•   legal issues
•   cultural issues
•   birthparents
•   openness
•   attachment and bonding
•   impacts of drug/alcohol exposure
•   adoption resources
