Description:
This training series prepares families for placement and connects them with other waiting families. Boys & Girls Aid is offering weekend pre-adoption trainings for families that need to fulfill state requirements for private independent adoption in Oregon.
Topics to be covered include:
- process and what to expect
- legal issues
- cultural issues
- birthparents
- openness
- attachment and bonding
- impacts of drug/alcohol exposure
- adoption resources
