Special Needs Adoption Coalition

image

The Special Needs Adoption Coalition (SNAC) is a group of private adoption agencies licensed in the State of Oregon to conduct adoptions of children in the custody of the Oregon Department of Human Services (DHS). Adoption of any child from Oregon foster care is called Special Needs Adoption. Boys & Girls Aid is the lead agency for the SNAC, and facilitates the monthly meetings. There are currently 11 private adoption agencies in the Coalition. If you are considering adopting a child in the custody of DHS, you may choose to work directly with DHS or with any of the agencies listed here.
