Serving Youth in Foster Care
Some are barely teenagers while others are nearly adults. They come from a wide variety of socio-economic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. They have all experienced some form of difficulties in their young lives, most commonly abuse or neglect. What all of these youth have in common is the need for a safe, stable place to stay and the love and attention of a positive adult role model.
That’s where Boys & Girls Aid comes in. We offer youth and young adults, ages 10 to 23, individual attention through programs such as Independent Living Services (ILS), Transitional Living Program (TLP), Safe Place for Youth, or the STEP program. Our foster parents care for these youth while they and their families get the help, support, and services they need to prepare for their next steps, whether that be returning home or living independently.
