You can help children in foster care feel special on their birthday
Imagine being five years old and your birthday comes and goes with no cake, no presents, and no one to wish you happiness. This was the case for Jordan before entering the care of Boys & Girls Aid.
Two weeks after Jordan’s arrival, and with his birthday looming, we learned he had never experienced a birthday party. Together with our Board of Directors and Ambassadors, we gave Jordan an epic Spiderman birthday party that brought the brightest smile; the first smile since his arrival. We then decided to give every child in our care the same feeling.
For children living in foster care their special day is often forgotten. Boys & Girls Aid Birthday Club members make it possible for children in foster care to have a birthday party of their own.
Your gift of $15 a month provides more than a party; it makes a child in foster care feel like they matter and they are worth celebrating.
Birthday Club members receive updates following every birthday party and have opportunities to volunteer at parties if they wish.
