140th Anniversary Year Honorees

Dr. Suzan Huntington

In recognition of her years of tireless advocacy work to ensure the most vulnerable youth in our communities are connected with a loving family of their own, through her role as Boys & Girls Aid’s first woman CEO and her lived experience as a child adopted from foster care.

In recognition of their 15 years of unwavering – and unmatched – dedication to and advocacy for Boys & Girls Aid’s programs and services. An adoptive family formed through Boys & Girls Aid’s Infant Adoption Program, Fergal, Caprice, and Maisie’s lasting impact is reflected in their commitment to ensuring more children and adults are able to build their forever families, as they did.

The Neely-Donoher Family

Raaga Mandala

In recognition of her dedication to solving for homelessness in her local community. Raaga’s advocacy began when she was 10 years old and named “Oregon’s Kid Governor” based on her project, “Transitioning the Homeless to Permanent Housing,” and continues today through her volunteerism at Boys & Girls Aid and our Safe Place shelter.

U.S. Bank

In recognition of their dedication to Oregon communities through volunteerism, inclusivity efforts, charitable funding, and community engagement, including their ongoing support of Boys & Girls Aid’s mission as a philanthropic partner.

OCF Joseph E. Weston Public Foundation

In recognition of its extraordinary contributions to our community. Since its founding in 1991, the OCF Joseph E. Weston Public Foundation has awarded more than $200 million in grants to more than 500 nonprofit organizations, benefiting thousands of Oregonians including the youth and families served by Boys & Girls Aid.

Founded in 1885, Boys & Girls Aid has played a significant role in Oregon’s history, creating families and making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children for 140 years. Through times of abundance and hardship, war and peace, turbulence and stability, our programs have remained a steadfast pillar of hope for generations of children and families.

In 2025, our work has never been more critical. Right now, there are more than 5,000 children navigating Oregon’s foster care system without connection to a permanent family. Boys & Girls Aid is committed to connecting these children with stable families who will offer a lifetime of security, guidance, support, and love.

By attending the Foster Love Gala, you are playing a vital role in supporting our efforts to ensure every child in foster care grows up in a family of their own.
